It takes all kinds to make the world go round.

August 16, 2013 1829
It takes all kinds to make the world go round and The Goat Man is a friend with all of them.  We have left our humble abode in the woods at Crews Lake.  We now reside in a cute little cottage in the Villages.  The Goat Man’s friend lives here and he offered us a room, air conditioning, and a hot shower.  We are not sure how long we can stay here, but we have some job prospects.  We plan to exhaust them before we move on.
Two mornings ago we left the woods.  We spoke briefly with the park ranger, Dave, and thanked him for allowing us to stay a second week.  However, we could not afford anymore nights so we had to leave.
Crystal and David did not stay the last night we were there and we have not seen or heard from them since.  Unfortunately, sometimes in the world of survival friendship has to take a backseat.  The Goat Man and I had to move on.  We think about them and hope them well.
Cindy and Cory were being asked to leave by the park because they had not paid for the past three nights.  We suspect Cory broke something on the train tracks.  The Goat Man said he admitted to it.
Just before we left Cindy called The Goat Man over to her van privately and played her damsel in distress card.  But, The Goat Man already has all the damsels in distress he can handle.  He is stressed to the max just trying to take care of me.  There is no need to help those who will not help themselves.
The other campers, Chris, Shannon, Alan, and Chris’s redheaded wife (I cannot remember her name) were good to us.  They seemed to have work lined up and we suspect they will be out of the woods soon.
So, The Goat Man and I moved on alone.  We are together stronger than ever before.  We are enjoying the peace of each other.  In this overwhelming life we are focusing on one thing at a time.  We have focused on getting jobs.
Waiting for Megan to arrive home from work, so I could access my uniforms, The Goat Man and I were able to re-connect.  We walked through downtown New Port Richey on a history tour.
We were able to talk out our plans, sit on a bench next to each other and watch squirrels, and hold each other’s hands.  It is amazing how everything gets better when you just walk hand in hand silent enjoying each other.
We watched ducks and ducklings for a long time.  We are going to be okay.
This morning I awoke in a dark room filled with air-conditioned air.  My body lay next to the beautiful Goat Man.  His chest rose and fell.  I wanted some coffee.  I could almost taste it.  I thought about the days I use to rise early and watch the cardinals outside my living room window while my oldest granddaughter watched Wonder Pets.  For a brief moment the morning felt almost normal.
